History of Ferrous Protection

Ferrous Protection Limited was founded in 1987 by John King, the Managing Director, together with Allan Davies, Site Director.  Our objective was to provide a comprehensive package to carry out anti-corrosion works on sites throughout the UK and abroad with particular emphasis on quality as well as health and safety.  The use of environmentally friendly paints was also promoted which was achieved by using solvent free epoxies whenever possible.  The team was completed when David Braithwaite joined the company in 1989 as the Sales Director.

Over the years we have grown steadily and are proud of our reputation for being highly knowledgeable, professional and reliable with the result that we have an excellent reputation within the industry.

Our name has become synonymous with high quality workmanship, in particular with regard to tank linings.

Objectives – Quality and Service

All enquiries are important to us and each one is assessed individually.  Prior to submission of a quotation the client is usually contacted to:

• Establish exact needs
• Arrange a site inspection, if necessary
• Discuss specification and working conditions

Upon receipt of an order a Health & Safety and QA package is put together. This includes

• Site working procedures (RAMS)
• COSHH assessments
• QA documentation including daily record sheets

Works are carried out on site:

• Using a skilled and comprehensively trained workforce
• Using products which are applied using a variety of techniques
• Safely with regard to our workforce, the clients’ workforce and if applicable, the public
• With close monitoring of quality and safety

At the end of the works the client receives:

• A full QA pack
• Guarantee as negotiated

Health and Safety

We are extremely safety conscious and have an impeccable safety record.  All the Operatives on site are fully trained and have relevant up to date Training Certificates and Medicals which are available for inspection as and when required.

Environmental Awareness

As well as safety we are also very aware of environmental issues.  The use of solvent free and water-borne products and the correct disposal of waste illustrates a commitment to reducing pollution and conserving the environment.

Ferrous Protection Ltd has been ISO accredited since 1994 and we have coherent and logical Quality and Procedural Systems in place which are reviewed every six months.

We have a strict vetting process for new and existing suppliers with all suppliers being reviewed annually to ensure that they are still able to meet our high standards.
